Nationwide Technical Search is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager in Marysville, MI to lead a 24/7 facility operations team and drive a rigorous preventive maintenance program. This onsite, direct-hire role focuses on minimizing downtime, safe equipment operation, and continuous plant reliability.

You will oversee electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage a PM schedule and parts inventory, and supervise maintenance staff while collaborating with management and vendors.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree with 7–10 years related supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical (110V-440V), hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprint reading.
• Experience welding, fabrication, and basic machine shop equipment.
• Proficient with CMMS and spare parts inventory management.
• Hi-Lo license, rigging, crane training, LOTO certification.
• Willing to work long hours and respond to 24/7 on-call needs.

Responsibilities

Seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee facility equipment, building upkeep, and departmental personnel. This role focuses on minimizing downtime through a rigid preventative maintenance program while ensuring safe, continuous 24/7 plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment & Plant Maintenance: Maintain electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems on all production equipment and building functions. Keep presses operational on a 24-hour basis.
• Preventative Maintenance & Inventory: Manage a strict PM schedule, track parts usage (including barrels/screws), maintain spare parts inventory, and utilize computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
• Leadership & Supervision: Interview, hire, train, schedule, and direct maintenance staff. Serve as a communication bridge between management and workforce.
• Safety & Compliance: Active participation in safety teams, manage Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out programs, conduct machinery safety checks, and maintain waste/housekeeping standards.
• Budgeting & Procurement: Control department costs, submit tool/supply requisitions, and manage vendor/serviceman relationships.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Associate degree/technical degree with 7-10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination. Supervisory experience required.
• Technical Skills:
  • Electrical (Logic level, 110V-440V, Relay/PLC logic).
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and blueprint reading.
  • Welding, fabrication, and basic tool room equipment (Lathe, Bridgeport, Surface Grinder).
  • Precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers).
• Certifications: Hi‑Lo license, rigging, crane training, and Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out certification.
• Availability: Flexible to work long hours, 7‑day work weeks, and respond to 24‑hour on‑call needs.
