Job summary

Jobot Consulting is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of multiple newer multifamily communities in our national portfolio. You will supervise technicians, manage repairs across electrical, plumbing, and appliances, and coordinate make-readies between sites. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Facilities or property maintenance leadership experience required; multifamily preferred.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and multi-site responsibility preferred.
• Hands-on capability across electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings on-call in addition to Monday–Friday.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb stairs, and work on ladders or scaffolding.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and high integrity.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of multifamily apartment buildings, including occupied units.
• Supervising and directing maintenance technicians across multiple sites.
• Repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
• Overseeing make-readies, cleaning, and painting during unit turns.
• Snow removal and grounds oversight.
• Regular communication with property managers and residents.
• On-call rotation, responding to after-hours and weekend calls.
• Regular travel between properties; one site ~45 minutes away and two others ~1 hour east.

Job Responsibilities

• General maintenance of multifamily apartment buildings, including occupied units
• Supervising and directing maintenance technicians across multiple sites
• Repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances
• Overseeing make-readies, cleaning, and painting during unit turns
• Snow removal and grounds oversight
• Regular, professional, and courteous communication with property managers and residents
• On-call rotation, responding to emergency calls after hours and on weekends
• Regular travel between properties: a smaller property about 45 minutes west, and two communities plus a commercial asset roughly an hour east (plan for a couple of trips per week)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Facilities or property maintenance leadership experience is required; multifamily preferred, hotel/hospitality strongly considered, commercial or industrial facilities leadership also considered
• Multi-site responsibility strongly preferred
• Experience supervising maintenance staff
• Hands-on capability across electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general repairs
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle report (required)
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and strong time management
• Ability to work a weekend and evening on-call schedule in addition to a Monday-Friday schedule
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb multiple flights of stairs multiple times per day, and work on a ladder or scaffolding
• Entrepreneurial mindset and high integrity: direct, truthful, admits mistakes, operates on trust
