Job summary

MetalX LLC in Wabash, IN is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and develop the maintenance organization at our aluminum processing facility. The right candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership to improve equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and safety across the plant.

You will build an effective team, establish priorities with production and engineering, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience, including at least four years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong understanding of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven leadership, organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel across a continuous manufacturing operation.
• Establish clear departmental expectations, responsibilities, and accountability.
• Direct preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Develop and improve maintenance procedures, work planning, and employee training.
• Utilize CMMS to manage activities and evaluate performance.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and plant leadership to set priorities.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets, contractors, and maintenance projects.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory and company standards compliance.
