Job summary

Papa Johns is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems are safe, efficient, and operational while managing staff, budgets, and preventive maintenance programs.

The role requires leading technicians, developing schedules, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with USDA/HACCP/OSHA, and driving continuous improvement to minimize downtime and costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in industrial/food manufacturing preferred.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance leadership experience.
• USDA, HACCP, OSHA, and related standards knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate across departments.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• P&L experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and evaluate technicians, ensuring safety and performance standards with coaching.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, inspect, and oversee repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and automated systems.
• Track maintenance expenses, manage budgets, and ensure spare parts availability through forecasting and inventory control.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, optimize workflows, and implement continuous improvement to reduce downtime and costs.
• Liaise with external service providers for specialized maintenance tasks and equipment servicing.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures or facility emergencies to minimize disruptions.
