Job summary

Welch Packaging Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct and coordinate activities for the design, construction, and maintenance of equipment and facilities. You will oversee the maintenance department daily, including professional staff, and implement a robust preventative maintenance program.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and proficiency with common shop tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
• Ability to use shop tools and equipment.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Fully computer literate in Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all maintenance technicians providing leadership and opportunities to learn and improve.
• Schedule required Preventive Maintenance on all machinery.
• Respond to emergency work orders within established timelines.
• Install, lubricate, troubleshoot and repair equipment per plant codes and procedures.
• Read and interpret diagrams and operate hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain safety and environmental guidelines and participate in safety programs.
• Communicate work performed and equipment statuses clearly.
• Develop team through feedback and motivation to ensure success.
