Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of maintenance technicians and grounds staff at an assigned residential community. You will ensure work meets quality, safety, and resident service standards, while coordinating with environmental and safety teams and maintaining documentation in Yardi.

Responsibilities include directing daily operations, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, and reporting on work orders, with a strong emphasis on OSHA compliance, vendor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College courses or technical training with relevant trade certifications/licenses preferred.
• Project management experience desirable.
• Minimum of three years of property management or maintenance operations experience.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of property and facilities management.
• Strong OSHA knowledge and safety compliance.
• Experience with Yardi is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive management oversight across multiple functions for an assigned team.
• Direct and support grounds and landscaping to maintain curb appeal.
• Oversee maintenance technicians across multiple trades including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry.
• Train and supervise staff on safety practices and PPE usage.
• Organize and assign work orders to meet response times and quality standards.
• Track key metrics and report on performance and improvements.
