Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Houston facility. You will supervise teams responsible for setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery to optimize plant utilization and quality.

Lead multi‑craft technicians, oversee CMMS (MAXIMO) activities, and ensure safety and efficiency across shifts. You will guide technicians, interpret blueprints, coordinate with other supervisors, and drive preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives in a

Qualifications

• Broad technical training (high school plus 1–3 years apprenticeship or 2‑year associate degree).
• Experience in all facets of technical field including industrial electrical, controls, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, machining.
• 7+ years leading and directing a manufacturing maintenance team.
• CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Lead dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of production machinery and support equipment.
• Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hours; adjust procedures to meet schedules.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints; assign duties.
• Coordinate activities with other supervisors.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and CMMS management (MAXIMO).
• Ensure department safety practices are followed.
• Promote continuous improvement in production methods and equipment performance.
