Job summary

Amarillo Gear Company LLC is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and a team of technicians in a manufacturing setting. You will schedule and supervise maintenance activities, manage budgets, and coordinate with outside vendors to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical expertise, leadership experience, and proficiency with CMMS systems.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and understanding of various industrial machinery and systems.
• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage a team of technicians.
• Problem solving and diagnostic abilities to analyze equipment issues and find solutions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong communications skills to collaborate with production on timelines and schedules.
• Proficiency in word, excel, and online CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure machines and systems function efficiently and safely.
• Design and implement preventive maintenance plans with routine inspections and procedures.
• Diagnose malfunctions, coordinate repairs, and oversee timely completion of corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems, with outside contractor support as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment; track costs and stay within budget.
