Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Maintenance Manager for the Taylor Pointe community in Chesapeake, VA.

You will lead maintenance standards, supervise staff, and drive operations in a fast-paced lease-up environment to support resident safety and community quality. The role requires a solid mechanical background, HVAC/EPA certification, and strong leadership. Expect on-site duties with occasional after-hours responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth within a Virginia-based

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Prior experience reflecting overall general mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Valid Driver's License (if operating a vehicle)
• EPA Freon Recovery Certificate; HVAC Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site maintenance and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry and grounds.
• Organize turnover and preventive maintenance work; prioritize work orders.
• Order supplies and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Ensure proper use of potentially dangerous products and chemicals.
• Oversee work by outside contractors and inspect completed work; take corrective actions.
• Train subordinate staff.
• Participate in selection and scheduling of outside contractors.
• Issue purchase orders and process invoices.
• Other duties as assigned.
