Job summary

Nexpera James River Plant in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and uphold Safety, Health, and Environmental performance across the site.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and oversees the maintenance staff, planning, budgeting, and contract management, with exposure to rapid turnaround events and capital projects. A strong background in chemical operations and ERP (SAP) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in chemical/petrochemical ops in maintenance/operations.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience following PSM guidelines is preferred.
• HazWoper qualification and HazMat training is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and sustain safety, health, and environmental performance.
• Drive maintenance planning, scheduling and work management processes.
• Manage maintenance spending, contracts, and materials.
• Oversee bi-annual TAR activities including planning and budgeting.
• Support small plant capital projects and coordinate large project execution.
• Back-up Operations Manager and supervise timecards and personnel.
