Job summary

Bodycote in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical maintenance department, acting as SME for repairs and maintenance of mechanical process equipment, and to support daily maintenance and capital project efforts.

This safety-sensitive role requires a four-year engineering degree, extensive supervisory and industrial maintenance experience, and strong knowledge of industrial systems.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance is required; U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Four-year degree in engineering, industrial technology or related field.
• Five or more years of supervisory experience.
• Ten or more years of cumulative maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing systems and heavy piping.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance and installation of equipment used in thermal processing.
• Oversees health, safety and environmental performance of the department.
• Manages capital projects and purchasing for CapEx items.
• Utilizes CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance data.
• Maintains spare parts inventory and coordinates vendor support.
• Prepares month-end facility reporting and KPI updates.
