Job summary

Steinway & Sons is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for our manufacturing plant in Astoria, Queens. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day maintenance, ensuring safe operations of machinery and compliance with regulations.

You will supervise maintenance activities, implement schedules, and monitor inventory while fostering a proactive maintenance culture. The estimated salary ranges from $80,000 to $95,000 annually, inclusive of benefits like medical, dental, vacation, and 401k contributions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and practices.
• Wide experience with building systems including HVAC and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Supervise union maintenance personnel ensuring safety and reliability.
• Create preventative maintenance schedules and assign work.
• Monitor equipment and parts inventory, managing orders and pricing.
