Job summary

Searchmasters Inc in California operates a 24/7 aerospace forging and heat-treat facility. The role directs and oversees the maintenance department, ensuring equipment uptime and safe operations across three shifts.

You will manage a team of 40–50 hourly employees and 8–10 leads, drive CapEx projects, and spearhead continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience leading large maintenance/ops teams in manufacturing.
• Background in metal product environments preferred.
• Experience with CNC, welding, forging, heat treating, stamping or casting is a plus.

Job Description

• Direct and oversee all maintenance department operations and facilities for an aerospace forging and heat treat manufacturing environment
• Lead and manage a team of 8–10 leads and 40–50 non-union hourly employees across three shifts operating 24/7
• Drive Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
• Manage and execute Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects to support facility and equipment upgrades
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime
• Ensure all production equipment is fully operational and running at optimal performance levels

Key Requirements

• Strong leader with demonstrated ability to manage and develop large teams
• Background in manufacturing (MFG) environments, preferably within metal product industries
• Experience with metal fabrication processes such as CNC machining, welding, fabrication, forging, heat treating, stamping, or casting
• Proven leadership experience in a maintenance or operations management capacity
