Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager provides technical leadership and administrative oversight for all facility, equipment, and process maintenance activities. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance operations that support production goals and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will lead preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, facility improvements, and maintenance personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and facility upkeep.
  • Support production schedules through effective coordination and execution of maintenance activities.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize maintenance work to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Supervise and develop maintenance personnel to maximize team performance, technical capabilities, and work quality.
  • Ensure associates are properly trained and consistently follow safe work practices and company procedures.
  • Promote employee involvement in planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work orders and maintenance documentation for future reference and compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate the timely identification and procurement of repair parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies with a strong focus on accident prevention and environmental responsibility.
  • Provide maintenance support for company projects by assisting with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Deliver technical assistance across departments to support operational and project goals.
  • Oversee all building and grounds maintenance activities through internal resources and external contractors as needed.
  • Support office moves, workplace modifications, and departmental maintenance requests.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising or directing maintenance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, equipment repair, and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to earn respect and build strong working relationships.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Effective organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback, delegate responsibilities, and coach team members effectively.

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Physical Requirements

This position requires a combination of office, maintenance shop, and manufacturing floor activities. Physical demands may include:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, typing, and handling materials.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, and reaching.
  • Continuous hearing, speaking, and visual attention.
  • Occasional driving and operation of machinery or equipment.
Safety Requirements
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas, including but not limited to: safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, steel‑toed shoes, protective gloves.
Work Environment

This position works in a variety of environments including office settings, laboratories, manufacturing areas, shop floors, and outdoor facility areas. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial equipment should be expected.
