Summary

Under direction of the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading all maintenance procedures ensuring that works orders are completed meeting expectations.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for leading maintenance, facilities, and capital project activities across multiple company locations. This role develops and executes maintenance strategies that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while supporting company growth objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong maintenance background who can effectively manage people, projects, budgets, inventories, contractors, and facility improvements. Candidates with General Contractor, Construction Management, or Facilities Project Management experience are highly desirable due to the significant coordination of vendors, contractors, facility improvements, and capital projects required for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and facilities operations across multiple company locations.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Manage maintenance personnel, including coaching, training, performance management, and team development.
• Develop maintenance strategies and contingency plans to support operational continuity.
• Oversee facility improvement projects, equipment installations, renovations, and capital investments.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Develop and manage maintenance and facilities budgets while identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, and forecasting to ensure operational readiness.
• Establish and maintain maintenance procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Partner with operational leaders to prioritize maintenance activities and support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and cost control.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive maintenance, facilities, or industrial leadership experience.
• Experience managing maintenance personnel and/or multiple facilities.
• Strong project management and budget management experience.
• Experience with inventory management and inventory forecasting.
• Proven ability to develop strategy and successfully execute plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Technical training, apprenticeship, military maintenance experience, skilled trades certification, or equivalent hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright, HVAC Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or other skilled trades certification.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, fabrication, or distribution environments.
• General Contractor, Construction Management, or Facilities Project Management experience
• Experience managing capital projects, facility expansions, equipment installations, and facility renovations.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and building systems.
