Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group in Sheldon, IA, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team, ensuring safe, reliable operation of equipment and facilities. You will drive reliability and continuous improvement to support production success and product quality.

You will develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manage the maintenance budget, and partner with production and engineering to meet operational objectives and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; or combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing equipment/process/facility reliability solutions in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience leading maintenance teams.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
• Experience utilizing CMMS is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead maintenance operations that keep our facility running safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working alongside a skilled team of maintenance professionals, you will drive equipment reliability, support production success, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance and help deliver quality products to our customers. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, Iowa.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the daily execution of maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance team members through effective training, scheduling, performance management, and succession planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and operational issues while ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs.
• Partner with production, engineering, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and support operational objectives.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, parts, contractors, and capital improvement projects, while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, a related technical field, or a combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing equipment, process, and facility reliability solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience leading maintenance teams and driving operational results.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
• Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.

• Up to 10% travel as business needs require.
