Job summary

KENT Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family of companies, is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Sheldon, Iowa. You will lead maintenance operations to keep the facility running safely, reliably, and efficiently, driving equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will supervise a skilled maintenance team, partner with production and engineering, and manage budgets while supporting safe manufacturing and high-quality product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in equipment, process and facility reliability in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership of maintenance teams.
• Experience developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong leadership, communication and employee development skills.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, facilities and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for improved reliability and reduced downtime.
• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance team members through training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with timely, cost-effective repairs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, parts, contractors and capex projects, for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will lead maintenance operations that keep our facility running safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working alongside a skilled team of maintenance professionals, you will drive equipment reliability, support production success, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance and help deliver quality products to our customers. • This position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, Iowa.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the daily execution of maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance team members through effective training, scheduling, performance management, and succession planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and operational issues while ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs.
• Partner with production, engineering, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and support operational objectives.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, parts, contractors, and capital improvement projects, while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, a related technical field, or a combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing equipment, process, and facility reliability solutions in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience leading maintenance teams and driving operational results.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
• Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.

TRAVEL:

• Up to 10% travel as business needs require.
