KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. in Sheldon, IA is seeking a Machine Operator to support the day-to-day operation of our feed manufacturing processes. This 2nd shift role runs from 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Farming background is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all equipment safely.
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
• Ensure quality assurance for ingredients, load-out and bagging.
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds accurately and with high quality.
• Assist management with production scheduling and inventory control.
• Support equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safety policies and procedures.

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family of companies, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team at our Sheldon, IA plant. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of our feed manufacturing processes while helping ensure product quality, workplace safety, and production efficiency. This is a 2nd shift, hourly position working 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and offers competitive pay, advancement opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

• This position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, IA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols
• Ensure KNG’s quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 plus years of manufacturing experience
• Farming background a plus
• Mechanical aptitude preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
• Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers
• Ability to work as a team member
• Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs from floor to working height as job requires
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
