Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and housekeeping team in Santa Ana, CA. The role plans, schedules, and manages all maintenance activities to ensure all workers meet company expectations.

The position requires strong leadership, experience with hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical repair, PLC programming, ERP systems, and solid communication skills in English. This on-site role supports safety, operations, and compliance across departments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong maintenance knowledge across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical repair and maintenance; PLC programming knowledge.
  • Experience with ERP systems, MS Office, and email/Internet.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Effective written and oral communication with vendors, management and staff.
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong math skills (intermediate to advanced).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the maintenance and housekeeping team.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage all maintenance activities to meet expectations.
  • Upgrade or replace old equipment for continuous improvement.
  • Instruct and direct work activities of maintenance and housekeeping staff.
  • Support the Plant Manager in achieving Key Results and align with company beliefs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on continuous improvement projects.
  • Support EH&S to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure equipment meets product quality demands.
  • Direct responsibility for the safety and performance of on-site maintenance contractors.

Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager that will oversee and manage the maintenance and housekeeping team. This person will plan, schedule, and manage all maintenance activities and work to ensure the all workers meet Aluminum Precision Products’ expectations.

Job Requirements:
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and facilities
  • Ensures all planned maintenance is performed in a timely manner
  • Work on upgrading or replacing old equipment for continuous improvement
  • Instructs and directs work activities of maintenance and housekeeping employees in assigned work area
  • Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation
  • Work to ensure compliance with government agencies, (AQMD, OCHCA, OCSD, WQCB, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs
  • Strong and proven management and leadership skills are a must
  • Set the standard and support Aluminum Precision Products Cultural Beliefs
  • Support the Plant Manager in achieving the Key Results
  • Support Engineering on continuous improvement projects
  • Support EH&S to ensure safety of employees and equipment is paramount and environmental compliance is met
  • Support Quality department to ensure equipment meets quality demands of all products
  • Direct responsibility for the safety and performance of all maintenance contractors on site
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
Skill Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • High degree of technical knowledge in all areas of maintenance
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical industrial repair and maintenance PLC programming knowledge
  • Microsoft Office; Internet-based programs, E-mail, experience with an ERP system
  • English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. This includes communication with vendors, management and employees
  • Able to read circuit diagrams and schematics
  • Intermediate to advanced math
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree preferred
  • Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired

In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the company’s discretion.

Compensation:

$130,000 - $135,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
