Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products (APP) is seeking a Production Lead to assist the Supervisor in directing daily manufacturing activities at our Santa Ana site. You will guide and inform employees on tasks while continuing to perform your own duties.

This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to safety, attendance, and process optimization. ITAR/EAR considerations may apply; adherence to company policies and safety rules is essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a production environment.
  • Strong organization, detail-oriented, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Supervisor in directing work activities of employees.
  • Maintain attendance and communicate with team and management.
  • Train and support production personnel; ensure safety policies are followed.
  • Explain tools, equipment, and production processes to new personnel.
  • Ensure production flow stays on schedule and meet KPIs.
  • Assist in corrective actions and audits as required.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Lead that will assist the Supervisor in the direction of assigned work activities at their respective manufacturing site. As a working Lead, this position will instruct, direct, and inform employees on work to be performed; as well as continue to perform your regular job/work function and duties.

Job Requirements
  • Instructs and directs work activities of employees in assigned work areas
  • Keep close track of work in progress and regularly communicates with co-workers, Leads, Supervisors and Managers (as needed)
  • Aids in training and works with Supervisor and directs activities of all production personnel
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Company policies and procedures
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record
  • Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules, company policies, and to include code of conduct
  • Assist in corrective action activities (as requested)
  • Assist in Customer, Internal, NADCAP, and AS 9100 audits as required
  • Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to Supervisor / Manager
  • Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported per APP’s safety policy
  • Must take accountability to APP’s safety initiatives
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Take ownership of Company’s KPI’s and Cultural Beliefs
  • As a working Lead you will continue to perform your regular job/work function and duties.
  • Provide job cross-training when/where necessary.
  • Will aid in the explanation the use of tools, equipment and production process to new personnel
  • Ensure operating efficiencies are met and flow of production remains on schedule
  • Assist in corrective action activities (as requested)
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
Skill Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in a production environment.
  • Strong organization skills, detail-oriented, and exceptional follow through.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate effectively orally and in writing. This includes communication with customers, management and employees.
  • Must have basic knowledge of chart and graph interpretation.
  • Knowledge of production equipment and work flow process.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Have the ability to assist and lead others.
  • Able to understand instructions and safety procedures.
  • Must have good attendance and no verbal/written warning within past year.

This position may require access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.

  • 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.
  • 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Compensation:

$21.00 - $25.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
