Job summary

Cascades in Rockingham, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance teams, drive LEAN initiatives, improve asset reliability, and manage budgets.

You will work in a heavy industrial setting, collaborate across functions, and leverage SAP maintenance, Power BI, and Excel to monitor KPIs and push continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading maintenance teams in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (paper industry experience preferred).
  • Strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting background.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a collaborative approach that motivates teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience working with SAP maintenance and asset management systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated data-driven mindset with experience in performance reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong focus on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance, best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the maintenance safety culture and enforce safe work practices, policies and accountability.
  • Utilize LEAN manufacturing experience to drive strategic plan and support LEAN methodologies and tools.
  • Drive asset reliability programs and processes that support operations objectives.
  • Participate in annual action planning and budget development.
  • Prepare and execute investment and asset maintenance plans, shutdowns, and ROI targets.
  • Engage and develop employees for personal and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Cascades’ business processes in the plant.
  • Support and lead maintenance KPI’s and quality of work.
  • Communicate, lead, and support plans to achieve targets for production capacity, costs, quality, engagement, and safety.
