Job summary

Los Tacos No. 1 is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee service, repairs, and maintenance of all facilities across locations. This hands-on, on-site role requires strong organizational skills, detailed focus, and the ability to manage people and vendors.

You will lead technicians and porters, coordinate with leadership for goals, and ensure safety and quality across all sites while maintaining equipment and processes to support operations.

Qualifications

• Experience installing/operating/repairing commercial refrigeration, HVAC and restaurant equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other productivity tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across channels.

Responsibilities

• Set goals, metrics, processes, and continuous improvement for the facilities maintenance department.
• Develop systems to evaluate performance against goals and identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee usage of Upkeep for ticketing, maintenance and analytics.
• Create preventative maintenance schedules for restaurant equipment.
• Maintain service records for equipment and coordinate with vendors for parts and repairs.
• Schedule and manage repairs, track to completion, work with Porter Supervisor for night maintenance.
• Ensure OSHA, local health codes, and safety protocols compliance.
• Lead and train a team of technicians and porters.

Job Description: Maintenance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our face-paced team. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee service, repairs, and maintenance of all facilities in the company’s growing group of locations. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, have impeccable attention to detail, be highly knowledgeable about food service equipment and systems, and be a skilled manager of people and vendors. This is a hands-on, on-site role that requires excellent listening and communication capabilities, outstanding follow-through, and an ability to develop good relationships with staff and service providers. This role will manage a team of technicians and/or porters.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Los Tacos leadership team setting goals, metrics, processes, and continual improvement in the facilities maintenance department
• Develop systems for regularly evaluating department performance against goals and Identify opportunities for improved restaurant/ taqueria operations
• Oversee and maintain the usage of Upkeep, which includes but is not limited to: ticket entry, ticket maintenance and data/analytics
• Create and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment in the restaurants
• Maintain service and maintenance records of restaurant equipment
• Conduct walkthroughs of restaurants to ensure a proper maintenance of equipment
• Coordinate with vendors to purchase and receive new equipment or replacement parts as needed for proper repairs and maintenance of equipment
• Schedule and manage repairs and maintenance and other work requests, tracking to completion
• Work in collaboration with Porter Supervisor to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance happens during the night/overnight shifts at all locations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local health codes, and restaurant safety protocols
• Manage a team of service / maintenance technicians by providing training, coaching and feedback continuing to strengthen our team

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, operating, and/or repairing commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and restaurant equipment
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects, and able to multi-task and establish priorities
• Able to maintain excellent organization within an ever-changing, dynamic, and unpredictable environment
• Outstanding digital literacy, skilled in use of core Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), comfortable in other productivity platforms and apps
• Strong communication skills in across email, text message, phone, and video, and instincts for responding/engaging promptly and comprehensively
• Able to stand and work for shifts of 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
• Available to work holidays and weekends if needed
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required

Compensation & Benefits

This position will have a base annual salary in the range of $90K to 120K. In addition, this position will be eligible for the following benefits:
