Job summary

Darling Ingredients in Maquoketa, IA seeks a Maintenance Manager to supervise the plant's maintenance staff and oversee corrective and preventive maintenance. You will evaluate mechanical problems, lead the crew, and control scheduling to keep critical equipment running safely.

Responsibilities include implementing a preventive maintenance program, training personnel on OSHA safety standards, ensuring cleanliness and safety inspections, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; management experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or in combination with training/vocational school.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Experience with computer maintenance programs and with MS Word and MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior rendering experience preferred.
• Management experience in an agricultural business preferred.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Ability to provide leadership and training to maintenance personnel.
• Team player; works well with others; ability to supervise small groups.
• Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Good math skills.
