Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Manager to supervise maintenance staff and oversee corrective and preventive maintenance within the Jackson, Mississippi plant. You will lead the maintenance crew, schedule work, and drive safety and reliability across equipment and facilities.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures, and experience with maintenance software.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or in combination with training/vocational school.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Experience with computer maintenance programs and with MS Word and MS Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior rendering experience preferred.
• Management experience in an agricultural business preferred.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Ability to provide leadership and training to maintenance personnel.
• Team player; works well with others; ability to supervise small groups.
• Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Good math skills.
