Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Manager to supervise the maintenance staff and oversee corrective and preventive maintenance within the plant. The role ensures equipment reliability and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key duties include directing the maintenance crew, scheduling work, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and training personnel on OSHA safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or with related training.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Experience with computer maintenance programs and with MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Evaluates and corrects all mechanical and/or building problems that may arise in the plant.
• Provides direction and leadership for the maintenance crew and controls scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or in combination with training/vocational school.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Experience with computer maintenance programs and with MS Word and MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior rendering experience preferred.
• Management experience in an agricultural business preferred.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Ability to provide leadership and training to maintenance personnel.
• Team player; works well with others; ability to supervise small groups.
• Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Good math skills.
