Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Manager to supervise the maintenance staff and oversee corrective and preventative maintenance at the plant.

You will lead the maintenance crew, schedule work, implement maintenance programs, and train personnel in company safety procedures and OSHA standards, ensuring equipment cleanliness and ongoing safety inspections. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential to drive reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or in combination with training/vocational school.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Experience with computer maintenance programs and with MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and correct mechanical/building problems in the plant.
• Lead the maintenance crew and control scheduling.
• Implement and evaluate preventative maintenance program.
• Train new personnel on safety procedures and OSHA standards.

• Ability to provide leadership and training to maintenance personnel.
• Team player; works well with others; ability to supervise small groups.
• Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Good math skills.
