Job summary

NHC Knoxville is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance program of the facility, supervise staff, and manage costs. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and be skilled in reading blueprints and technical manuals.

The role requires coordinating with administration on maintenance and repair needs, ensuring safety standards, and interacting tactfully with patients and families.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in maintenance and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Must have knowledge of local codes, ordinances and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise maintenance program of the physical plant, institutional equipment and vehicles.
• Train, instruct and supervise other maintenance personnel.
• Maintain records of work performed and costs involved.
• Advise and consult with administrator on maintenance and repair needs concerning structure, equipment and grounds.
• Deal tactfully and effectively with patients and families.

Duties

The qualified applicant for this position must have at least 2 years experience in maintenance and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Duties include

• planning, directing and supervising maintenance program of the physical plant, institutional equipment and vehicles
• training, instructing and supervising other maintenance personnel
• maintaining records of work performed and costs involved
• advising and consulting with administrator on maintenance and repair needs concerning structure, equipment and grounds
• tactfully and effectively dealing with patients and families
