Job summary

NHC HealthCare Knoxville is seeking a Director of Maintenance who can plan, direct and supervise the maintenance program for the facility, its equipment and vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability in a healthcare setting.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience across mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and coordinate with administrators, staff and patients as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in maintenance and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Must have a knowledge of local codes, ordinances and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise the maintenance program of the physical plant, institutional equipment and vehicles.
• Train, instruct and supervise other maintenance personnel.
• Maintain records of work performed and costs involved.
• Advise and consult with administrator on maintenance and repair needs concerning structure, equipment and grounds.
• Tactfully and effectively deal with patients and families.
