Job description

About the Role : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the operational and fiscal activities of our client’s maintenance department. This role involves developing and managing annual budgets, planning and implementing systems to enhance department effectiveness, and supervising staff according to company policies. Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the maintenance department, including staffing levels, budgeting, and setting departmental goals.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to improve department efficiency and quality.
  • Evaluate maintenance processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions.
  • Coordinate projects and repairs across multiple locations, utilizing maintenance management system capabilities.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, assisting with hiring, training, and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations, participating in inspections and corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance (PM) and total productive maintenance (TPM) programs, including spare parts management.
  • Coordinate with vendors and legal departments to maintain compliance with state permits.
  • Collaborate with other managers and the Plant Manager to ensure effective maintenance services.
  • Implement lean principles to drive process improvements and efficiency gains within the department.

Position Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Management or a technical discipline.
  • Experience : 5+ years of supervisory and maintenance experience, with a focus on team building and project management.
  • Skills : Proficiency in mechanical and electrical industrial certifications, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements :

  • Exposure to typical office and manufacturing environments, including occasional inclement weather conditions during travel (less than 10%).
