Job summary

Hawkins HR Consulting, LLC is assisting a global tier 1 automotive supplier in Shelbyville, IN, seeking a results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead a 24/7 maintenance team. The role reports to the Plant Manager and involves managing CapEx projects, safety culture, and process improvements.

The candidate will direct a team of salaried and hourly professionals, drive equipment reliability, and collaborate with production to optimize uptime in a unionized setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Leadership experience in a union setting preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset.
• Reliability centered maintenance experience including CMMS, PdM, PM and TPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly maintenance/technical professionals, with one direct and 30 indirect reports.
• Plan and execute all Maintenance Team activities.
• Participate in team analysis for problem solving of major breakdowns.
• Manage the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) systems to ensure equipment reliability with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to enhance operational efficiency.
• Document maintenance and repair activities for future reference and compliance.
• Manage CapEx projects.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Be a strong proponent of safety culture, training and adherence.
• Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in maintenance engineering.

Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their 24/7 unionized facility in Shelbyville, IN. We are seeking a strong, results-driven leader who can bring their vision to manage, plan and develop the maintenance team. This is a key senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. Company relocation assistance is available for this opportunity.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Range $125,000 - $145,000 plus up to 20% bonus potential
