Job summary

Dimensional Thinking, LLC seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a metal extrusion facility in Indiana. This hands-on leadership role focuses on reliability, safety, and equipment performance to support production goals.

The ideal candidate has metal extrusion experience and a strong background in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and preventive maintenance systems. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day maintenance operations within a metal extrusion manufacturing environment.
• Supervise, develop, and provide direction to maintenance personnel while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor maintenance work based on production requirements and equipment priorities.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support extrusion presses, production equipment, facility systems, and related manufacturing machinery.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and support PLC systems, controls, and automated equipment.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and implement root‑cause and corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, upgrades, modernization projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to maintain reliable manufacturing operations.
• Ensure maintenance activities follow applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Manage maintenance priorities during equipment breakdowns and production‑critical situations.
• Support maintenance planning, scheduling, work‑order management, and spare‑parts requirements.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and provide support for urgent equipment issues when required.
• Promote a culture focused on safety, equipment reliability, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a metal extrusion manufacturing facility in Indiana. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of manufacturing equipment while supporting production goals.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in Metal extrusion, metal extrusion, or a closely related metal manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands‑on troubleshooting experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and prioritize maintenance activities according to production needs.
• Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and prints.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

• Extrusion press and production equipment experience.
• Metal finishing/manufacturing experience.
