Superior Essex Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance organization, plan and execute programs to keep production equipment, facilities, and infrastructure running safely and efficiently.

The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Quality to maximize uptime, drive continuous improvement, and manage budgets, vendors, and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all maintenance operations including preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency activities.
• Supervise Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance personnel across shifts.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and costs.
• Establish goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for operational excellence.
• Oversee capital projects and maintenance spending.
• Ensure safety, environmental, regulatory, and company standards.
• Direct planning and scheduling to minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, utilities, and support systems.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Lead capital improvements and facility upgrades.
• Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure inventory levels of spare parts and supplies.
• Recruit, train, and develop maintenance personnel.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and use CMMS effectively.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, organization, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. This position provides strategic direction to the maintenance department, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and oversees maintenance supervisors, technicians, contractors, and support personnel. The Maintenance Manager partners with operations, engineering, safety, and quality teams to maximize equipment uptime and support business objectives.

• Lead and manage all maintenance operations, including preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Supervise Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance personnel across assigned shifts or locations.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and control costs.
• Establish maintenance goals, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
• Manage capital projects, maintenance spending, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and company standards.
