The Maintenance Manager will manage a team of Mechanics and Electricians and be responsible for the maintenance of all production related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Corporate Reliability and Manufacturing teams to reduce downtime, optimize maintenance processes, and meet production/quality goals.
- Provide technical guidance to improve equipment reliability and increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
- Supervise and coach ~13–15 hourly maintenance staff to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient work execution.
- Lead rapid response to equipment breakdowns, ensuring issues are resolved by team members or contractors.
- Ensure employee training, certifications, and safety procedures are completed and followed.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage team scheduling, time-off coverage, and attendance using UltiPro.
- Oversee work backlogs, schedules, and communicate performance results and plans across shifts and management.
- Lead daily and shift turnover meetings, sharing key updates, incidents, and priorities.
- Own and maintain plant utilities (e.g., compressors, boilers, HVAC), parts inventory, and cost-effective purchasing.
- Enter and manage emergency work requests in the asset management system.
- Use software tools including Microsoft Office, PowerBI, D365 EAM, Rockwell VantagePoint, and OESuites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing maintenance (or equivalent experience).
- Proven leadership in maintenance team management and preventive maintenance (PM) practices.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Experience with automated line monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars.
- Familiarity with Analytical Process Mapping and advanced reliability tools.
