JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Manager, Maintenance
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: General Manager / Manufacturing Manager
SUMMARY
This is responsible supervisory and technical work requiring knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Schedules and develops preventative maintenance procedures; troubleshoots and diagnoses machine and building equipment problems; directs and supervises machine and building repairs, assisting as necessary; schedules work for subordinates; identifies and schedules building maintenance work; orders and maintains inventory for building maintenance and machine repairs; and trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinates as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of a state certified apprenticeship program or a minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience; 2 years experience in a leadership role.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
