Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop in Covington, GA seeks a Maintenance Manager to champion a safe, efficient plant environment. You will lead maintenance staff, prioritize preventive maintenance, and drive improvements with the Plant and OpEx teams.

The role requires strong diagnostic and leadership skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and a track record of improving equipment reliability in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in maintenance management or plant engineering in manufacturing.
• Ability to diagnose problems and drive improvement changes.
• Experience managing spare parts inventory for production equipment.
• Industrial repair and maintenance of production equipment; electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Maintain, repair and install electrical motors and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily review of work orders and task assignment to maintenance staff; verify task completion and quality.
• Schedule work based on preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coach and train maintenance staff on techniques, procedures and skills.
• Inspect production equipment and coordinate external services when needed.
• Submit records of maintenance into the company software system.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager and OpEx Manager to drive continuous improvement.

The Maintenance Manager is focused on championing and maintaining a safe environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Daily review of work orders and task assignment to maintenance staff; Daily verification of task completion and assessment of quality of the work performed
• Schedule work to be performed based on routine preventive maintenance schedules
• Coaches and trains maintenance employees on proper maintenance techniques, procedures, and skills
• Inspects production equipment, machines, and tools; Work with outside services to schedule and coordinate work that the Maintenance Department cannot complete effectively
• Submit records (and proper data) of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed into the company computer system software
• Work in partnership with the Plant Manager and OpEx Manager in order to drive continuous improvement of equipment, processes, and personnel

What We Are Looking For

• 5-10 years + of experience in maintenance management or plant engineering in a manufacturing environment, glass experience is a plus
• Must be able to diagnose problems, identify needs for improvement, and implement and adapt to change
• Must manage production equipment spare key parts inventory to optimum levels
• Industrial experience in the repair and maintenance of production equipment. Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills are a must.
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices; Familiarity of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus, especially Total Preventative Maintenance
