Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a manufacturing maintenance team, champion a safe workplace, and drive reliability across production equipment. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance while coordinating with operations leadership to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance management or plant engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose problems, identify needs for improvement, and adapt to change.
• Must manage production equipment spare parts inventory to optimum levels.
• Industrial experience in the repair and maintenance of production equipment; electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily review of work orders and task assignments to maintenance staff; verify completion and quality.
• Schedule work based on preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coaches and trains maintenance employees on proper maintenance techniques, procedures, and skills.
• Inspects production equipment and coordinates with outside services as needed.
• Submit records of all preventive and corrective maintenance into the company software.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager and OpEx Manager to drive continuous improvement of equipment, processes, and personnel.

Job responsibilities include:

• Daily review of work orders and task assignment to maintenance staff; Daily verification of task completion and assessment of quality of the work performed
• Schedule work to be performed based on routine preventive maintenance schedules
• Coaches and trains maintenance employees on proper maintenance techniques, procedures, and skills
• Inspects production equipment, machines, and tools; Work with outside services to schedule and coordinate work that the Maintenance Department cannot complete effectively
• Submit records (and proper data) of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed into the company computer system software
• Work in partnership with the Plant Manager and OpEx Manager in order to drive continuous improvement of equipment, processes, and personnel

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance management or plant engineering in a manufacturing environment, glass experience is a plus
• Must be able to diagnose problems, identify needs for improvement, and implement and adapt to change
• Must manage production equipment spare key parts inventory to optimum levels
• Industrial experience in the repair and maintenance of production equipment. Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills are a must.
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices; Familiarity of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus, especially Total Preventative Maintenance

Position Pay Range: $103,000 USD - $125,000 USD
