Acument Global Technologies - North America in Belvidere, IL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to manage plant security, maintenance, and machine rebuild activities. The role focuses on reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

You will direct security, building maintenance, equipment moves, and preventive maintenance programs, working with multiple shifts to meet production and cost goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of maintenance supervision experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and safety.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Lean manufacturing training or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs plant security levels for manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
• Directs and controls building maintenance for operations and equipment.
• Oversees movement and installation of machinery ensuring safe, efficient operation.
• Assesses parts needs and manages preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintains files for maintenance of machines, vehicles, and lift trucks.
• Ensures permits and licenses for maintenance are obtained and displayed.
• Maintains optimum inventory levels for rebuild and maintenance supplies.
• Drives improvements to extend time between rebuilds and improve methods.
• Collaborates with manufacturing to improve machine feeding and processes.

Position Summary

Plan, direct, and control the internal and external plant security, plant maintenance, and machine rebuild and repair function for the facility minimizing down time to ensure achieving the maximum in efficiency of manufacturing operations. Continuous Improvement of processes and products are an ongoing function of this position.

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Directs and controls the security levels of the manufacturing plant and warehouse facilities.
• Directs and controls all building maintenance both internal and external for operations, and equipment ensuring that they are run as efficiently exceeding production and profit objectives.
• Directs and controls all movement and installing of machinery and equipment ensuring that it is accomplished as safely and efficiently as possible with minimum disturbance to overall plant operations.
• Monitors the needs of the plant related to machine parts determining if the parts should be purchased or made at the plant.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all machines, equipment, company vehicles, and lift trucks determined to need such a program ensuring that complete files of each are maintained.
• Ensure that all permits and licenses associated with the maintenance of the building, equipment and vehicles are properly procured and displayed.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of all supplies and materials for the rebuild and maintenance departments seeking the best quality at the lowest cost.
• Develops and maintains a continuing program for improving and upgrading machines and machine parts to extend time intervals between rebuilds.
• Work with manufacturing departments to improve methods of machine feeding.

Qualifications-Education/Experience

• HSD/GED or equivalent.
• 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of successful maintenance supervision or management, preferably in a multi shift facility.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of machine rebuild and general maintenance functions.
• Proven problem solving ability.

Preferred

• Post High School education.
• Previous maintenance experience in a fastener industry.
• Electrical and/or Plumbing Skills.
• Lean Manufacturing or similar training and experience.
