Job description

As a full-service manufacturing solution, we specialize in nutritional contract manufacturing, dedicated to bringing tailored health solutions to the market. We are currently seeking an Engineering/Maintenance Technician at our Phoenix, AZ location.

Scope of Position:

The Engineering/Maintenance Technician supports the operation, repair, and continuous improvement of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and logs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and reliability projects.

Supervisory Responsibility:

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.

Work Environment:

Working 100% of the time in a production facility setting. Subject to noise from machinery used from time to time. Exposed to customer products when operating and testing machinery.

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Heavy lifting required.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at waist.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some overtime required as business needs dictate.

Travel:

There is no travel expected for this position.

Education and Experience:

  • Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field with relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing or regulated production environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, especially in Engineering Technology or related discipline.
