Job summary

RENOLIT Corporation in La Porte, Indiana, seeks a maintenance technician to ensure and improve operation of calendar and extrusion machinery. You will troubleshoot PLCs, AC/DC drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and perform general building repairs while supporting a safe, clean work environment.

The role requires electro-mechanical aptitude, electrical basics, tool use, and the ability to read schematics. It involves 12-hour night shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Minimum: 2 years technical schooling plus 3+ years maintenance experience or 7+ years industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude test required.
• Mill and Lathe experience is beneficial.
• Basic electrical experience is beneficial.
• Use of precision measuring instruments required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and improve proper operation of machines (calendar & extrusion).
• Perform general mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Repair general building systems (electrical, plumbing, structure).
• Fabricate and weld (stick, mig, brazing, torch use).

Your tasks at RENOLIT

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary responsibility is to ensure and improve proper operation of machines (calendar & extrusion) from a mechanical and technical point of view. This includes troubleshooting and repairing PLC controls, AC\DC drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and mechanical operations. General building and grounds maintenance are included in the scope of this position as well.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilites

• Ensure and improve proper operation of machines
• General machine repairs (mechanical)
• General building repairs. (electrical, plumbing, structure)
• Fabrication and welding. (stick, mig, brazing and general torch use)
• Schematic / blueprint reading
• Follow all relevant policies and procedures (5S, Safety, ARC policies)

Educational And Experience Requirements

• High School diploma/General Equivalency diploma
• Minimum:
  • 2 years technical schooling plus 3+ Years proven Maintenance experience
  • OR more than 7 years proven Industrial/ Manufacturing Maintenance experience
• Successful result of an electro-mechanical aptitude test
• Mill and Lathe experience beneficial
• Basic electrical experience is beneficial
• Use of precision measuring instruments required
