Job summary

Owens Corning Fort Smith is seeking a Maintenance Leader to drive maintenance and reliability strategy across the site, leading salaried and hourly teams. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, EHS, Quality, and Finance to meet plant objectives and elevate asset health.

You will advance TPM, DMS, and RWP disciplines while coaching and developing talent, driving safety, and ensuring timely, cost-effective maintenance execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, or operations.
• Eligible for work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future; not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
• Demonstrated experience leading maintenance or reliability systems including planning, scheduling, and root-cause problem solving.
• Experience with TPM, DMS, RWP, Lean manufacturing, or other formal continuous improvement systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP PM, CMMS processes, maintenance planning, spare parts management, and equipment history systems preferred.
• Ability to work across shifts, weekends, outages, and emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team with focus on safety, reliability, cost, and customer service.
• Build a culture where safety is a condition of employment and risks are addressed quickly.
• Develop and execute maintenance and reliability strategy to improve asset health and reduce downtime.
• Serve as Planned Maintenance pillar leader and participate in TPM governance and planning.
• Strengthen DMS routines, KPI/KAI review, and action tracking across shifts.
• Own RWP discipline with proper work identification, planning, scheduling, and closeout.
• Partner with Operations to align priorities and coordinate equipment availability.
• Ensure resources are scheduled effectively and schedule breakers minimized through proactive planning.
• Lead breakdown analysis and root-cause problem solving to sustain corrective actions.
• Improve maintenance systems, preventive/predictive plans, and SAP data integrity.
• Lead budget management, overtime control, and capital planning support.
• Support project planning, equipment commissioning, and Management of Change requirements.
• Develop maintenance talent through coaching, performance management, and training.
• Create an environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, and open communication across all shifts.
• Establish challenging targets and remove barriers through prioritization and collaboration.
