Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive management experience in automotive (JIT) Tier 1 manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement processes/lean manufacturing concepts, methods and principles.
• Good understanding of capitol and expense budgets; operational planning and strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions and ensure staff know how to perform each job safely.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance for production machinery.
• Evaluate jobs to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
• Direct maintenance and operations of facility systems (electrical, refrigeration, water, steam and gas).
• Train and develop employees; provide performance feedback.
• Develop maintenance plans and budgets; oversee major plant projects and downtime planning.
• Promote cost reduction programs for the maintenance area.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
