Summary

The Lead Maintenance Technician maintains, diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, adjusts, performs preventative maintenance, and installs equipment to ensure continuous production with zero loss. They carry out work assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.

Schedule

2nd Shift (Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 2:00am; weekend overtime as needed)

Wage: $29.20 - $43.80/hr, based on experience and qualifications, with annual bonus and potential overtime. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), insurance options, disability, paid time off, and more.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative maintenance and work orders, ensuring timely completion.
• Plan work efficiently within time constraints.
• Order materials before jobs commence.
• Analyze recurring issues and develop solutions, including design changes.
• Assign jobs to team members based on capability.
• Report progress and critical situations to the Maintenance Superintendent.
• Maintain records of equipment performance.
• Assist other mechanics as needed.
• Create work orders for repairs.
• Report personnel or disciplinary issues to management.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical college preferred

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years in industrial maintenance
• Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of hydraulic, conveyor systems, and industrial machinery aptitude

Environmental & Physical Factors

• Active plant floor activities, troubleshooting, and system redesigns
• May need to move equipment, access files, supplies, and move throughout facilities
• Exposure to wet, humid, cold, hot, noisy environments, and chemicals with required safety gear
