The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in delivering on our commitments by performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, groundskeeping, and other interior and exterior duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. This position is responsible for responding to resident service requests, troubleshooting maintenance issues, and upholding safety standards, all while fostering a positive living environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Market Ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties to ensure quality move-in experiences.
  • Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance as scheduled and requested, such as painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, replacing filters, and working with trash compactors.
  • Maintain community equipment, including plumbing, lighting, A/C, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all resident and staff repair requests and concerns.
  • Report maintenance issues in vacant units, common areas, and equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure resident privacy and proper authority before entering apartments.
  • Keep maintenance items in safe areas to prevent injuries.
  • Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
  • Attend in-service training and work with vendors as instructed.
  • Follow all safety, OSHA, and fair housing laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • HVAC certification required.
  • Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Education & Experience
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience.
  • HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
