Job summary

Amrize South Chicago Slag Grinding Plant is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the plant management team. You will oversee maintenance, improve asset reliability, and manage budgets while ensuring safety and compliance at the South Chicago facility.

Your duties include planning inspections, coordinating repairs, supervising three maintenance staff, and driving continuous improvement using the Maximo system. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on problem-solving at a busy facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 7+ years in similar roles.
• 4-7 years of prior supervisory skills.
• Adherence to safety protocols and proper PPE usage is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plant property and equipment and produce maintenance reports.
• Plan production schedules, optimize equipment utilization, and ensure SOP adherence.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate weekly work schedules.
