Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Maintenance Lead at our Kokomo, IN facility. You will drive reliability, lead maintenance technicians, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to maximize uptime and asset performance. The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and hands-on leadership.

This position requires a hands-on leader able to coach technicians, perform root cause analyses, and promote teamwork and accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in maintenance.
• Ability to lift and manipulate up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic understanding of power and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering to improve uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action.
• Monitor equipment performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage and improve PM programs.
• Ensure PM completion and optimization through CMMS.
• Review PM effectiveness and optimize frequencies.
• Champion CMMS usage and data accuracy.
• Maintain accurate asset and work-order history.
• Prepare for production shift and ensure changeover needs are met.
• Plan work priorities with Supervisors and assess skill needs.
• Respond to emergencies with safety as a priority.
• Ensure operating procedures, maintenance, repairs, and safety guidelines are followed.
• Align with Atkore's mission, values, and conduct standards.
