Steffes, LLC in Shelby, NC is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Supervisor for day shift to lead maintenance operations across manufacturing equipment and facilities, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinating schedules, mentoring maintenance staff, and partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and CI teams to enhance asset performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance technical skills and electrical controls understanding.
• Understanding of complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet).
• Demonstrates attention to detail.
• MS Word-Intermediate; MS Excel-Advanced; MS PowerPoint-Intermediate; MS Outlook-Intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize asset availability and minimize downtime.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities, work assignments, shutdowns, and repair schedules to support production objectives.
• Supervise, develop, and coach maintenance personnel with a strong safety culture.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance metrics, and work order completion to identify opportunities for improved reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and maintenance standards.
• Coordinate maintenance inventory, spare parts, contractors, and external service providers.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and utilize CMMS for planning and reporting.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere through collaboration with customers, suppliers, and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
