Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee daily and preventive maintenance, identify root causes of machine shutdowns, and support operations during peak periods. The role requires hands-on skills with heavy equipment and safety-conscious practices.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, basic welding, and the ability to work independently or with a team, including flexible hours and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience required.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays.
• Basic welding experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, front loader).
• Extensive hand and power tool experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of machine shutdowns to minimize downtime.
• Safely use an oxylance to clear metal jams.
• Plan maintenance with plant management and ensure correct parts are ordered.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Audit switch gear panels for error codes disrupting production.
• Comply with EMS policies and OSHA safety requirements.
