Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection is seeking a Maintenance Lead for Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. This year‑round, full‑time role oversees maintenance activities, assigns daily work, mentors seasonal staff, and ensures facilities are safe, functional and reliable.

You will lead a team across facilities, performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to support guest service goals while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.
• Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and mentor maintenance employees to promote technical growth, safe work practices, and professional development.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and skills development.
• Promote employee ownership, craftsmanship, and pride in quality work.
• Perform and oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and seasonal opening/closing activities.
• Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks to ensure efficient use of labor and resources.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Respond to emergencies and help restore critical services.
