Job summary

HELP USA in Bronx, NY seeks an Assistant Supervisor/Mechanic to oversee maintenance and repair of the facility, ensuring the physical plant is well maintained. You will lead maintenance staff and coordinate their work to meet high standards.

As a great fit, you have supervisory experience, building trades knowledge, the ability to read diagrams and schematics, and a valid US driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Supervisory experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to use common building tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, boiler, plumbing, and HVAC systems; HVAC license preferred.
• Ability to read diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid US driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance staff and assign work.
• Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Train porters to meet quality standards.
• Perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure OSHA compliance.
• Inventory and dispense materials.
