Job summary

BronxWorks seeks a building maintenance worker to support its Living Room and other facilities in the Bronx. You will perform light electrical repairs, general maintenance, cleaning, and related tasks to uphold safety and cleanliness standards across the site.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, strong English communication, and the ability to pass a physical skills test. A valid driver's license is preferred, with occasional overtime and travel within NYC boroughs.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years building maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in English required; proficiency in a second language preferred.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence preferred, with <3 points in last 3 years.
• Strong maintenance skills and physical capability.
• Ability to pass a physical skills test and work with agency staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in repairs as needed.
• Provide light electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets and circuits.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, clean windows regularly.
• Perform groundwork and additional duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as required by operational needs.
• Coordinate with multiple agency personnel.
